Wednesday offered some amazing snow storm activity.
It cleared to direct sunlight for a few hours mid day and then really came down hard late
in the afternoon. What came down never melted.
A large gust of wind rolled my tent over and broke one of my tent poles during the sunny part of the day.
So on impulse I left late Wednesday evening so that I could go visit Jim Riggs in Lostine (OR)
as I heard that he was running low on firewood. Jim was doing very well when I saw him Thursday evening.
He was not out of firewood as much as some one had conveyed to me, so he did not need assistance.
For those of you who know Jim, he is recovering well.
I was surprised at how well he looked and sounded.
It was a good visit, even though brief.
